El Yunque National Forest is a beautiful rainforest located on the east coast of Puerto Rico. It's known for its large variety of waterfalls and natural landscapes. There are multiple trails that tourists are welcomed to hike and explore different parts of the forest. There are bridges to cross, paths to curve, rivers and waterfalls to bath in, natural water slides, and so much more. You may also drive through the entire park and just view the wonderful nature there is to see from inside your car!
The forest is filled with lots of unique animals and is, unfortunately, not limited to feared creatures like spiders, scorpions, and snakes. Watch out for poison ivy as well! However, according to park authorities, none of the animals in the forest are deadly. Sure, it'll hurt like bricks if you get bitten or stung but the guarantee that you won't die is... comforting?
Though, there is only a slight chance that you'll encounter one of those menaces during your visit there.
But they aren't the only ones who live there! Different species of animals like monkeys, birds, and other cute creatures also happen to roam the wet maze known as the rainforest.
So, next time you're thinking of a place to spend your time on vacation, you should check out El Yunque. It's location in the small county of Carolina, Puerto Rico gives a warm welcome, and there's many things to see in places near the park. It's a truly unique, wonderful place and it needs more recognition.
