During your visit, you can experience the beautiful waterfall memorials they have in the WTC plaza and other memorials located around the area. The waterfalls are truly a sight to see. Loads of people line up around the square-shaped waterfalls just to get a glance of them!
There is also a museum in the World Trade Center. The museum guides you through the experience that the victims of 9/11 went through. It has amazing artifacts that came directly from the scene! There are so many exhibits; the place is huge. It'll take you about the whole day if you want to see everything. Things to see include interesting stuff like dismantled fire trucks and police cars, items picked up from victims of the tragedy, voicemails and radio transmits when it was all happening, and so much more.
Though, there are very interesting things to see, it is a very overwhelming experience. Just standing in the very same spot where so many people perished is enough to make anyone feel the least bit sorrow. When hearing the voicemails of victims bidding farewell to their families because they knew their fate was death, it brings a huge emotional wave. There are so many families who come to this place every year in memory of a beloved one they lost on this day. September 11th, 2001 is a day no American could ever forget.
